Text Format: Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose
A blunt breeze
pulled petals –
persuaded them
to lean in.
Lilies camouflaged
against the ruffles –
those wind-whisked white gowns
that travelled with the twigs.
As an orange glow
lit up each face
with fearless fascination –
roses swayed below.
Each flicker
sent warmth –
floated in their hands –
highlighted
every shadow.
Coldness shared
spite
towards their skin.
But
nature stayed
fluorescent –
so dark could see
the cluster
of green
peach
and pink.
